Come on, admit it. You have always wanted a daughter of Leading Broodmare Sire, On A High! "Lori" is beautiful. Really, really beautiful. In fact, we bought her from a halter horse breeder. In addition, she is a real joy to have around. Very easy to handle and a real people lover. This mare is very, very hard to part with. She will only go to a very good home.
Look at your pedigree. She is not just an own daughter of All American winner On A High, she's also out of a stakes-winner producing daughter of the great broodmare sire Shawne Bug. Her second dam is also a granddaughter of the great sire Go Man Go. Lori is truly bred to be a producer - On A High, Shawne Bug, Go Man Go - all are Leading Broodmare sires.
Lori is in great shape. She's wintered well out on pasture. Her front feet should be trimmed a couple of times a year and while she's runs and bucks with the best of them in the pasture, she is probably not sound to ride and we will not sell her to be anything but a broodmare.
She's bred for an early June 2011 foal by Dont Doc 108. He's a pretty reining bred horse with Mr. Basic Black, Docs Remedy, and Docs Hickory breeding. He's got a creme gene, a dun gene, and does not sire sorrels. Her foal will have a 1 in 8 chance of being a bay and a 7 in 8 chance of being black, buckskin, smokey black, dun, or grulla. If it's grulla, it will have to be one of the best in the country!
She's bred a little late (we'd rather foal in May) because we had a seller back out on selling us his stallion at the last minute and we didn't get a horse turned out with her any sooner. She bred on the first heat cycle she was exposed to a stallion. It is absolutely not her fault!
Her foals have been just as exceptional as her pedigree would lead you to expect. Most of her foals are by halter stallions and none have gone to the track. She's had two of the nicest foals ever by both My Indian Money and Raise Your Rocket. The photo to the left is of her gorgeous My Indian Money filly who sold as a yearling. Her two year old by Raise Your Rocket is truly an exception colt and he's for sale here.
