Pay N Possumjet

This colt has truly got it all – conformation, athletic ability, color, and pedigree!  But above all, he has the kindest disposition – he just loves people.

His dam was an incredible mare. She was easy to get along with, produced 13 foals in a row – three of them are AAA, and every colt is easy to get along with, gorgeous, and fast. And she was absolutely beautiful – see her photo below. It doesn’t matter what discipline someone favors – cowhorse people liked her as much as racehorse people.

Her dam was the great mare Possumjet who won the All American Futurity in 1972. She went on to have 14 foals, including 11 ROMs and 6 AAAs. Her daughter Genuine Knockout, the great Special Effort mare produced Falling In LoveAgain who also won the All American Futurity. Genuine Knockout’s foals have, to date, won over $1.7 million on the track. Six of them are stakes winners and 17 earned ROMs. The great barrel mare and barrel producer Coup De Possum is another daughter of Possumjet with a consistent record of producing great athletes. The well-known stallions Genuine Strawfly, Title Contender, and Cantcatchacorona are all from this family.

Although we had originally kept this colt as a stallion prospect, we have decided to geld him.  He just loves attention so much we can’t eliminate his chances to be a kid’s horse someday.

He’s not started under saddle yet.  The trainer we have used lately broke his leg and another we considered just moved pretty far away.  This colt really needs a job so we have lowered his price temporarily.
