2024 AQHA Appendix Registered Brown Filly
My jaw dropped when I saw this one! She is the Perks x Slew daughter golden cross at its amazing best.
This filly is beyond anything we could have hoped for, even from this mare who makes a good one every time! She has her maternal grandsire’s powerful sloping shoulder, elegant neck and her sire’s powerful hip and correct, get-down-and-turn hind leg conformation. She’s going to be a big, tall mare with a lot of substance – look at all the bone she has already. This filly is a powerhouse arena prospect; however, she would make a great Aus Ranch broodmare too.
Her dam’s sire is the Champion racehorse and great barrel sire Rare Bar. She is out of One Slick Possum who was an incredible performer – track, barrels, and poles – and producer. One Slick Possum had an amazing pedigree – her sire was a Champion runner and her dam won the All American.
This filly is bred a lot like the amazing barrel mare Charmin N Rockin. Same sire, same 2nd dam. Charmin won money in a large number of futurities her entire 4-year old year, including the BFA Futurity Finals. She went on to make a top rodeo mare – winning the Eastern Regional Qualifier to The American in 2023. Her QDATA earnings are about $45K and that is missing about $35K in Canadian earnings. She’ll be back on the rodeo road in 2025.
This filly has two older brothers in good rodeo hands and they have been easy to start and are showing a lot of promise.
In addition to her great pedigree, this filly is classy. She is so pretty and elegant – but she has a lot of substance too. Her neck, shoulder and hip are all built for athleticism and a lot of speed.
She’ll have a good mind to go with her speed. Both parents are kind, gentle, people-friendly horses.
