If you are looking for a prospect out of a proven mare with a great pedigree – here’s your colt! His dam is an own daughter of Brookstone Bay – a son of First Down Dash I wanted a daughter of as soon as his hit the breeding barn. Unfortunately, I didn’t breed to him either of the first two years and when his first crop hit the track, he promptly became an All American Futurity winning sire and that was the end of my affording his stud fees! In other words, the Brookstone’s are brutally fast! This colt loves to run and has gears and more gears – that’s actually what we call him, “Gears”. His stride and movement are just amazing for his age.
He’s also a sweetheart – friendly, sensible and quiet.
His momma was a 1D and pro rodeo mare. She filled her previous owner’s PRCA card. She’s also a gorgeous mare who floats over the ground. We were lucky enough to acquire her when she got older and was ready to transition to the broodmare life. He was foaled June 20th and this is her first colt and like most first foals, he’s not getting as much milk but by the time he’s ready to start under saddle, no one will know.
His sire, VF Chase This, is a very promising barrel sire – his colts just entering the barrel pen and their owners are bragging! His dam is the great barrel producer Chase This Ivory by Ivory James. She has progeny earnings of over $900K with more to come!
