2005 Brown Quarter Horse Stallion
Sire: Dash For Perks, All Time Leading Barrel Horse Sire
Dam: Charmin Cherokee, Pro Rodeo mare, CFR average winner and producer
We could not be more excited about this incredible horse. He is everything we hoped for in a stallion and more. His conformation is excellent. His mind is exceptional. And his pedigree is not just remarkable, it is a perfect fit for our program.
CCs Last Warrior is an own son of Leading Barrel Sire Dash For Perks. His record as a barrel horse sire is so extensive it doesn’t even require mention. Years ago we had the opportunity to see Dash For Perks in person. He impressed us so much with his good, correct conformation, eye appeal and his sensible, kind disposition. He was as close to our ideal as any horse we have ever seen.

His dam, Charmin Cherokee was an exceptional barrel mare who won such rodeos as Odessa and San Angelo, TX before selling for $100K to Canada where she continued to win. She qualified for the Canadian Rodeo Finals and won the aggregate there one year. Her only other foal is a 3 time CFR qualifier.

“Perks” as we call him is a good looking, powerful horse with an sweet disposition. He babysits weanlings in the winter. There’s plenty of energy there too and we expect his foals to be gritty barrel horses. Even as weanlings and yearlings, you can tell his colts want jobs. The few that are in training have been easy. They are good, quiet friendly foals but they want to be performance horses.
Our first Perks foals are truly exceeding our high expectations. They are correct, pretty, athletic, friendly and they really look like future barrel horses! You can find his foals on our sold horses and our horses for sale pages. We expect another nice set of foals in May and June.

Perks is pretty set in his pasture breeding ways. For that reason we don’t take outside mares. We have an exciting but small crop foals by him and out of daughters of 1D sires. If you want a really fancy barrel prospect consider his foals for sale. They won’t get cheaper in the future.

About six weeks old and growing in every direction! She’s six weeks old and growing like crazy! Two Perks fillies in 2016. Classy, aren’t they? About 5 months old here and getting ready to wean. Not quite 3 months here but how could he get any fancier? He’s good minded too! This gorgeous filly was bred by Merle and Rose Marie just 84 years after the first foal Merle raised when he was 7 years old. Not quite three months old here, he’s big and stout! She’s only 2 weeks old here – she’s really thriving! About 2 1/2 months old here and she is showing everything it takes to be an athlete! Good looking, smart, quick-footed Paint barrel prospect! She’s 7 weeks old here.
