2024 Black Appendix AQHA Filly
Isn’t she cute? She’s a first foal for a young mare we are really proud of so she was small when she was born but wow is she blooming now! She’s also our only filly this year. It’s tempting to keep her, but we can probably be talked out of her to a really good home.
She’s athletic and is already proving she’ll have some grit – she has to because that huge palomino colt of Foxie’s is older and always pesting her to play. She has to tell him to buzz off every now and then! She’s also a sweet, curious filly but not a toe-stomper.
Her sire, VF Chase This, is a very promising barrel sire – his colts just entering the barrel pen and their owners are bragging! His dam is the great barrel producer Chase This Ivory by Ivory James. She has progeny earnings of over $900K with more to come!
She is also a granddaughter of our own CCs Last Warrior, aka Perks. She is proof that Perks is a great cross on Golden Slew daughters – great minds, correct conformation, athletic ability and speed to burn. And you just can’t beat Perk’s hocks and Slew’s shoulders on colts if you want a horse that won’t want to drop it’s shoulder and can rocket off a barrel.
