2015 APHA Registered Brown Tobiano Filly – Granddaughter of Dash For Perks and Big Country

This filly has been running since about the minute she was born!  She’s so fun to watch – she just drops and scoots.  No wasted motion with this girl!  She can swap directions with ease too.

As she’s grown up, it has been so much fun to watch her personality develop.  This filly is busy, friendly, and very people oriented.  She’s a great prospect for  people that like a thinking horse and are ready for one that will be on the go all the time.  This is such a character, she will make you laugh every time you see her.

She leads, ties, and trims.  Notice I didn’t say she “stands tied.”  She stays tied but she fidgets.  She knows she wasn’t bred to stand around.  But if you want one that is easy to catch, she’s your girl.  She actually lopes toward you in the pasture.  That’s why we named her Adelle after the singer.  This filly is always wanting to say, “Hello“.

She is further proof we are fortunate to have our Perks stallion.  She has the pretty topline and straight legs he’s putting on all his foals.  And that drop and scoot way of running comes from him too.

Her dam is a very good, but somewhat unusual mare.  She has shown as much intelligence and confidence as we have ever seen in a young mare.   This is her first foal and we are looking forward to them for years to come!

Windy gets her brains and personality from her sire – Big Country was a truly remarkable horse!  He sired a lot of great producing broodmares – big, strong, smart mares with a lot of maternal instinct.  Windy stands over 16 hands.  She is as good a first time momma as we have seen.
