2018 Brown Registered Quarter Horse Colt – Rare Bar, Dash For Perks, and Possumjet
This is one really cute barrel prospect. Powerful hind end, great hocks, sloping shoulder, good neck. And a cute head with big brown eyes as a bonus. He’s going to make a nice barrel prospect or anything that takes a fast horse with athletic ability.
He’s smart and wants to learn just as soon as he gets the idea. He does need an experienced person because he might try to get away with stuff on a beginner.
His sire consistently makes easy to get along with colts with speed and athletic ability. This colt moves easily – swapping directions is effortless for him.
His dam is a beautiful, kind mare by the great track, show and barrel sire Champion Rare Bar si114.
His second dam, One Slick Possum was an incredible mare we were privileged to own. She was everything we want in a mare. She had a great pedigree (her dam won the the All American Futurity). She was quiet, kind and smart, pretty and correct, and she was a great producer. And of course Rare Bar was a Champion racehorse who went on to sire winners on the track, in the show pen and of course the arena. The first of her foals we raised went on to be a 16 hand, 20 second pole horse. We kept her daughters whenever possible and they are great mares.
