2022 AQHA Appendix Registered Brown Colt
This young mare’s colt is really exciting. He’s by Perks and out of a daughter of Slew from our best female family. We have always thought Slew mares would cross very well on Perks and she has proven us right! This Appendix Quarter Horse colt is sensational – he floats over the ground like the Slews do and turns like the Perks colt do. He’s built to hold up too.
He is such an athlete! He’s seriously fast and he can get down and swap ends so quick, it is amazing. His female family has served us very well. They are fast, good looking and very easy to have around! It’s the same family that produced Charmin N Rockin, the Perks daughter who consistently won money (>$20K) in the 1D of futurities from the Patriot Futurity through the BFA Futurity Worlds. She is consistently winning money in rodeos now.
Slew puts an amazing sloping shoulder on his foals that lets them move so freely. That shoulder makes it so much easier to turn barrels and it doesn’t hurt when you are headed to the back pasture either!
Perks’ foals are turning machines because he puts a great set of drivers on every colt. His foals have powerful hind ends and beautiful, low hocks. But best of all, Perks colts are kind, quiet, and easy to get along with. He’s the perfect cross on mares with that high energy Thoroughbred influence.
